Manuel Rangel III

After high school graduation, Manuel Rangel III entered the workforce as an aircraft electrician at Kelly AFB in San Antonio, TX. After six years at Kelly AFB, he entered the U.S. Navy, serving as Corpsman assigned to the U.S. Marine Corps at Camp Pendleton, CA and deployed twice, including the 1991 Gulf War. Upon return from Operation DESERT STORM, he entered Basic Underwater Demolition/SEAL training and graduated in Class 181. While in the U.S., the majority of Manny’s assignments included East Coast SEAL Teams. His overseas assignments included Bahrain and deployments to Somalia, Bosnia, South America, Iraq, Pakistan, and Afghanistan. After 27 years of service, Manny retired from the U.S. Navy in 2014 and went into Government Contracting. Additionally, he established two companies, MannaR Consulting and Aether Illumination. Manny currently resides in Tampa, FL and enjoys being home with his family. Knowing firsthand the hardships our special operations families endure, Manny hopes to give back by supporting Host A Hero.
